A Case of Osteopetrosis

Abstract
|
|
|
Osteopetrosis is a rare disease of which the cause is unknown that sh taws osteosclerotic change on the entire skeletalsy stem.
Clinically this disease is subdivided into benign and malignant groups. In malignant osteopetrosis, the patient dies during fetal life or postr.atal period, In b rnign osteopetrosis, patients do not show clinical symptoms and they are diagnosed by a radiologist accidentally.
Author found a case of osteopetrosis during the reading of a routine chest P-A film. She was a 16 years old and her entire skeletal survey revealed generally increased bony density with a pathological fsicture of the right humerus.
